#HAWMC: Day 28, "H.E.A.L.T.H"

CHALLENGE: H.E.A.L.T.H. Use "health" as an acronym and come up with words that represent your Health Activist journey. #HAWMC

I got day 29 mixed up with day 28. Oh well. Here is the post that was supposed to be posted yesterday. You can read day 29 by clicking here.

If you are a living, breathing human being, you will have hardships in life. Things will happen to upset you, hurt you, make you sick, make you cry, break your heart, etc., etc. This is by no means a perfect world. It is filled with broken, bitter and angry people. We are all selfish on some level and not only will someone hurt you, but you will also hurt others. That's life.

Disease is rampant. People will die. Sometimes things will go your way... but sometimes they won't. There are a lot of bad, negative things in this thing we call life. Because of this, you have two choices. You can either become bitter and wallow in your pain and self-pity. OR, you can take your pain and suffering, learn from it and use it to help others.

The truth is, there will always be pain and suffering while we're on this earth, but there are also many blessings. I'm not saying it's easy to always look at the positive side of life and laugh at our sometimes icky circumstances, but I am saying it's worth the effort.

This is why I began Colitis Ninja. I want to help others. I want them to focus on their blessing and have support in their suffering. I want to encourage them to keep pressing on through the pain and heartache. Learn from it. Grow. Let it change you for the better.
